A Reflection of the Past

This is a reflection of Sheikh's family history in textile production of bag making. The business has been passed down for 3 generations. Exploring the process of handmade vs manufactured production. She created her own bag, going through every part of the process, from screenprinting, embroidery and constructing the bag.
Using traditional handmade embroidery techniques that originate from Pakistan. She used zardozi, phulkari, marori and balochi embroidery. Sheikh used this as a way to document the untold story of her family's legacy.
